The first floor of this fully restored early 1900’s farmhouse has a fully equipped kitchen, living room with gas fireplace, dining room, one bedroom with private bathroom and one more full bathroom. The second floor has two bedrooms with shared bath, master bedroom and bath, and TV room/den. Outside there are upper and lower front porches and a back deck with gas grill.

In 1997 a local attorney purchased the 1.3-acre creek-front lot near Oriskany, Virginia with the intent to build a fishing and hunting “getaway”. In 2000, he commissioned Mennonite carpenters to construct the unique cedar cabin and adjacent 10′ x 20′ barn from Southern Living’s “Deer Run” design. The beautifully detailed interior features tongue-and-groove knotty wood pine. Craftsmanship, attention to detail, and quality materials; all trademarks of the Mennonite builder; are abundant throughout.
